Ismail Einashe is a feature and investigative journalist. He has written for The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The New York Times, Prospect, The Atlantic, South China Morning Post, NPR, Frieze and The Nation, among other places.

Ismail has previously worked for BBC Radio Current Affairs and he has presented on BBC Radio.

He has reported from over a dozen nations in Europe and Africa covering world news, global migration and refugee issues, citizenship and conflict and human rights, and often, the intersection between all of these areas.

Ismail is an Ochberg Fellow at the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma at Columbia University Journalism School. He is also an associate at the Cambridge University Migration Research Network (CAMMIGRES).
